Pumpkin sausage

Pumpkin chouriço is a traditional Portuguese sausage that combines pork with pumpkin, resulting in a rustically aromatic and slightly sweet flavour due to the pumpkin integrated into the mixture.

Main ingredients: pork, pumpkin, wheat flour, onion, garlic, salt, olive oil, wine and spices.

Traditionally smoked with oak and heather wood, which gives it a deep aroma and characteristic smoked flavour.

Consumption: traditionally, it should be cooked before serving (it can be used in stews, casseroles or baked in dishes).
